The last time I checked, a simple google search for the keywords "Lua Tutorial" returned barely 600,000 search results, of the majority of which goes in no deeper than a simple Hello Jorge program. On the other hand, searching for Java Tutorial returns over 19 million search results. If we were to stack all of these tutorials together, they would stack so high that they would fall over on top of each other and scare the crap out of everyone. Lua isn't like that at all. After a simple introductory tutorial and a few practice programs, you begin to appreciate its insightful design. "Hey ma, check it out, I just made my computer go beep." Then again, let's face it, no one ever expected us folks to be sophisticated to begin with, so go ahead, go show off your latest inventions. Meanwhile, we'll be right here waiting to answer any questions that you may have with this beautiful language so that you won't ever have to worry about having to search through mountains of information in order to make your computer go beep some more. |
